But First, Chocolate.

However, if you don't want to buy anything, keep reading to get inspiration for fun free activities you can do with the tea lover in your life.
1 | Beautify with Tea
If you and your partner just want to stay home and relax this Valentine’s Day, we hear you. Why not fully pamper yourselves with an at-home spa night infused with tea? There are a million different ways to add tea to your beauty routine.
You can concoct a tea bath, shampoo, facial scrub, or moisturizer from tea and use the leftover tea bags to reduce puffiness under the eyes. Or try making a few DIY beauty goodies under candlelight for a romantic spin.
2 | Paint with Tea
Did you know you can paint using tea? This medium is not widely used, of course, but it makes beautiful artwork. It’s also really fun making paint out of tea! You and your loved one will get to explore your creativity while doing something new on Valentine’s Day.
As a general rule of thumb, it’s best to use watercolor or cardstock paper when painting with tea, since they’re the most durable. You'll also want to use more tea leaves than water, so only steep the leaves in just enough water to cover them slightly. You can even add powder, like matcha or beetroot, to make a dynamic color.
3 | Bake with Tea
Yes, you heard us right_ baking with tea. You can create some deliciously tasty goodies with tea, especially matcha. Matcha tea cookies are a fan favorite, and they pair even better with a light, hot, brewed cup of your favorite tea (think white, green, or herbal). Here is a great recipe for matcha tea cookies to make it easy for you and your partner.
You will need matcha tea powder, plus your basic cookie-making ingredients, including flour, unsalted butter, powdered sugar, sea salt, eggs, and white chocolate chips. View the recipe linked above for a full breakdown of each step.
4 | Tie-Dye with Tea
Grab a few plain pieces of clothing or fabric, and get ready to make a tie-dye masterpiece with tea. Experiment with any loose-leaf tea you have in your pantry, or purchase specific ones to create your desired color.
Every tea has a unique shade and will produce different results, but that's what makes it fun. For example, butterfly pea flower is blue, and mango chai is yellowish. This is another intimate way to bond and co-create art with your loved one on Valentine's Day.
Do More with Tea
Tea is good for more than just drinking. Here at Tea and I, we love sipping on our favorite brew while reading a good book (or scrolling through social media). But there are so many other things to do with tea, so get creative!
